What is Drug Rehabilitation?

Drug Rehabilitation- "is an umbrella term for the processes of medical and/or psychotherapeutic treatment, for dependency on psychoactive substances such as alcohol, prescription drugs, and so-called street drugs such as cocaine, heroin or amphetamines. The general intent is to enable the patient to cease substance abuse, in order to avoid the psychological, legal, financial, social, and physical consequences that can be caused, especially by extreme abuse." Being a blanket term it is often the first thing you think about when searching for help with addictions. It is an accurate description of what you will go through but certainly not a very personable or esteem building term. When you are at a facility you most likely will be refferred to as a person "in recovery" from the disease of addiction. Our goal is certainly to help you solve all of the challenges which you face in recovery, from detox to after care and everything in between.
